What's This?

We used this in Organic today. You cannot tell me that this doesn't look like a....smoking apparatus. It's really small, but still, that's what it looked like. It's actually called a Hickman Head with side port.

Losing It!

Things have been stressful! Nothing I'm not used to, but nothing I like either. School has just been intense and fast, and whatever time I have off is spent at work or resting. Ugh! This has led to one problem in particular: I lose things (besides my mind). I lost my wallet sometime around last Wednesday, and just realized it was gone on Monday because I never have it on me. I cleaned my entire house looking for it (and made everyone else look at their houses, sorry!) , and moved on to look in my car. I thought it would probably be under the passenger seat because I always throw it there. I looked 3 or 4 times under the seat, and no luck. I went to shut the passenger door, and lo and behold, there it was! Propped up against the seat. I have no idea how it got there because I would have had to move it to look under the seat. It was probably magic or divine intervention. This was good timing too, because I was about to call the bank to cancel my debit card. Lucky Candice!
I did have an excellent Valentine's day. It was rocky at first because Chad didn't make reservations until like, a week before the day. So, instead of going somewhere cool downtown, I had to eat in JOHNSON COUNTY. Ugh. We got to the restaurant at 6:50 and told the host we had reservations for 7. He said it would be a 30-40 minute wait. ???? Apparently Haru's does not understand that concept. I felt kind of bad for the host, because a ton of people were trying to get in without reservations and were pissed because it was a 3 hour wait if you wanted to sit at the fire table. It was only a 20 minute wait, and the food was awesome. Plus, my mom suprised me with a gift (chocolates and money) when I was there! I loved it!

I Am Not Crazy!

A couple Saturdays ago was the Polar Plunge!!! It was awesome. I decided to partake for the bragging rights and for the good cause. It was at Shawnee Mission Park at noon. The weather that day was in the upper 50's, but was very windy, so yes, it was still cold. The scary part was that when I got there they were still cutting a hole in the ice for the plungers to go in! Brrr!!! Even so, I was prepped and ready in my Sailor Moon costume and Nike Shox. After lots of waiting and free cookies/coffee, it was time to plunge. I was the third group to go in. My plan was to run in up to my hips, and go right back out. As soon as I hit the water, my legs were numb, and I sort of fell all the way into the water. This made for a nice ride home as my hair was wet and lake-scented. All in all, I would do it again in a second. It was the best $75 I could have spent! For people that read this, please please please consider taking part next year! Here are good reasons:

1. It's for an awesome cause: The Special Olympics!
2. It is a blast!
3. The cold water isn't as bad as you would think. You mostly just go numb.
4. Bragging rights
5. Free sweatshirt (it's really soft!)
6. Lots of awesome people are there with cool costumes.
7. There's a chili-cookoff afterparty (not my cup of tea, but whatever.)

So please join me next year for the plunge!

Not that bad!
